April Another great gig at The Prom. Thanks so much to all the regulars and newbie Esky Virgins who turned up to dance, sing and generally have a good time! December We all dress up as Super Heros for a party on the Oliver Cromwell boat in Gloucester Docks. Photos will be posted shortly! September Wow! What a great success our charity birthday party was. A great turn out and we managed to raise £612 for The Bristol Tranquilliser Project and Cancer Research. It was hot, but stilll everyone was dancing and singing!
May 2008 Richard depped for Paul at his wedding which was the wedding of the century! Such fun and Paul really enjoyed dancing and singing from "the other side". January 2008 Paul is back from Australia and is ready to rock again! Thanks to Alex and Richard for doing a great job in the guitar department. Nov 2007 A capacity crowd at The Prom and the new songs are a treat to play. We're all stilll buzzing from the gig and thank you to everyone for coming and making it a night to remember. See you next year! Oct 2007 5 grown men from the wedding party decided to streak through the dance floor during "I predict a Riot". Family tradition apparently! Who are we to argue. No bum notes were heard. Sept 2007 Matt decided to drop Paul's guitar into the river at the Rehearsal room. It's okay though, he dangled himself from the bridge while Paul held him by his ankles. The guitar's okay, but a swan is still in shock. June 2007 We've added a video of "I don't feel like Dancing" edited from the Christmas gigs at the Passenger Shed, Bristol. June 2007 Public gig announced at The Prom - 17th November. Everyone is welcome. Come down and join in the party! April 2007 We've added a video page for your viewing pleasure! More will be added shortly so be sure to come back soon! March 2007 New songs are going down well and another packed house at the Prom. Great to see all the regular partygoers and meet so many new people. Definitely be back there soon. December 2006 It's the festive season so Merry Christmas to everybody who knows us! Plenty of fun Xmas parties to be had, but don't overdo the drinking and eating! November 2006 It was great to see so many people having a good time at the Prom gig. The party vibe kicked off early with dancing right from the beginning of the set. It was a shame we had to stop. We could have gone on all night! Thanks to everyone for coming along and if you all enjoyed it as much as we did then we know you had a fantastic time! October 2006 We have a couple of weeks break from gigging so we're learning some new numbers. Some crackers in there that we reckon will send the punters wild with excitement! September 2006 We were stalked at a recent event just outside Bristol! Do you recognise him? August 2006 Public gig announced at last! Due to the fact that November isn't a popular month to get married we've managed to squeeze in a public gig at The Prom in Bristol. See you all there then! July 2006 Its wedding season! Its a pleasure to entertain so many happy people. Lets hope the British summer surprises us all and it stays sunny! With so many weddings, we don't get time to play any public gigs. We're hoping to get some soon though. Maybe in October or November. May 2006 Sunshine, World Cup Football, lots of gigs. Life is good!April 2006 The Prom was a packed house for Greg's fairwell gig. It was a very emotional evening but much dancing and cheering was done. Good Luck for your future in Austrailia Greg! Meanwhile stay tuned for his replacement. More news soon. April 2006 Its Greg's last gig on Friday. He is leaving for Austrailia. He was one of the original members of the band and we'll miss him so much. Not only for his versatile talent, but as a person. We love him. So come down to the Prom and check out the last Greg gig! (By the way we are audition for a replacement now so if you think you can follow in Greg's footsteps please contact one of us.) February 2006 Erica fronts a corparate party celebraton in front of 200 happy party goers. The new songs go down well and Paul shares his air guitar collection around the audience! January 2006 New Year and a New Web Site! Hope you like the fresher and more modern look! (who likes yellow anyway!) November 2005 The band warm up for their string of Christmas party gigs. James Bond themes, Moulin Rouge themes, its gonna be an interesting month. Glass of sherry anyone? MERRY ESKYMAS! hick... August 2005 The band invest in their own lighting and try them out at a wedding. They add a whole new dimension to the performance and Paul learns some new dance moves as he has to control them with his feet as well as his guitar pedals! 4000 watts of lighting power...woof! The band also invest in some new PA equipment. Another 1000 watts of quality speaker equipment. Nice. July 2005 The Eskys return to the studio to record a brand new demo. (edits availabe for download here!) Rick from State of Art studio in Bristol does a grand job of producing and engineering 4 songs for a new promotional CD. June 2005 Erica performed her first gig without Greg and managed to hold the fort extremely well! Lots of dancing was had by many sun tanned Golfers at Shirehampton Gold Club. May 2005 Colin managed to leave his power supply behind at the reahearsal room, so it was a bit of a panic at Franks party at Mr. Wolf's Noodle Bar on Saturday. We managed to find one in the nick of time and, despite it being a hot and sticky night, everyone enjoyed themselves including birthday boy himself. Here's what he had to say: "Hi Guys, I wanted to say what a great time we all had last Saturday. What a fantastic party, and thanks in no small part to the band. Loads of friends have said what a top performance it was. I'll never be able to hear "It Must Be Love" again without changing the words! I'm sorry to hear Erica was a bit under the weather that night - it certainly didn't show in the performance. I've seen you're at the Cat and Wheel on 20th May, so I've told all your new admirers. Many thanks. Look forward to seeing you again" Thanks Frank! (yes Greg did spontaneously decide to change the words to "It must be Love" to: "It must be Frank, Frank, Frank" for reasons only he can explain!) April 2005 New numbers for 2005 include Vertigo by U2 and Don't Stop Me Now by Queen sung brilliantly by Erica! January 2005 Happy New Year to everyone. Phil entertains us all by falling in a water filled ditch in the dark outside our rehearsal room! December 2004 Just added a photo of the band taken at a Wedding Gig in June November 2004 We've been deciding which Christmas songs to do. Some classics in there as well as some quite unusual ones! July 2004 The Prom gig on the 9th rocks a packed house full of excited punters! The new stuff goes down a treat and a party atmosphere extends to well after closing time! April 2004 We've added a Random Esky Trivia Page Be sure to check back soon for more random Esky facts! March 2004 The repertoire is expanding rapidly with some new songs in the pipeline. They are all sounding good. New songs include: The Riverboat Song, One Vision, Zephyr Song, Love Shack, Love Fool and wait for it.....The Minder theme tune! Paul is off Snowboarding again and the band have just invested in a trolley and a trunk for their gear. Fab news eh! January 2003 After a great gig at the Old Duke we're all fired up to try a few new numbers. Trouble is we have too many! Christmas 2003 We're taking a break for a month as Greg is off to Austrialia for a few weeks. Lucky him! December 2003 Somebody sneaked a camcorder into the Prom Wine Bar. If you can play mp4 format then check out this cheeky video! (Right click link and "save as" 3.2mb) November 2003 The band record a three track demo at Hook Farm, engineered by our very own Purple one. Mixing took place at the DV studios on Pro Tools, fueled by Chinese food and beer.
